Liferay Portal Hosting
Liferay provides an enterprise portal application called Liferay Portal. A portal is used as a framework to manage and display portlets. Looked
at the other way, various portlets are used to gather and format data which is then displayed by the portal.
If you use MyYahoo or iGoogle you've seen a portal in action. Once you log in, the portal aggregates the portlets chosen by you to create a
web page customized to your location and interests.
Java Web Hosting supports the Liferay Portal application. Tier Three (256 MB RAM dedicated to your Tomcat) is needed for the latest editions of Liferay. (We have customers running older Liferays on Tier Two but the added features of 5.2.3 require a larger heap.) A Tier One Tomcat will not start with Liferay installed.
If you are an existing customer, please contact
tech support to have
Liferay installed in your space. If you are a prospective customer, please visit our
Java Web Hosting home page.
